Getting Started - New Athlete Assessment
First, you start with the New Athlete Introduction Questionnaire. This helps me learn more about you.
Then you and I chat - in person, via facetime, or on the phone. We'll go over your answers and any other questions you or I might have. This gives us the opportunity to discuss ambition and goals... and also understand the impact that "real life" can have on plans and ideas.
Fairly early on in the process, we work together to do some benchmarking... generally by racing a 5K, though it depends on where you are. This helps me understand where you are physiologically.
Ongoing Training - Ongoing Updates
Together, we'll develop a plan that helps you achieve your goals.
You will DO THE WORK. And I will monitor your progress. You will check in with me after key workouts and whenever you need help.
We will chart your progress. This never comes in a straight line, and you should expect some bumps along the way. We will work together to modify your plan as needed. We will make sure you are as prepared as you can possibly be - physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Before your goal race, we will discuss race day strategies, nutrition, weather, course specifics... whatever you need to be successful. And you will run! Your race is a celebration of all your hard work!
